Exactly.
While on the face of it this probably will make England even weaker and less dynamic and more one dimensional in the short to medium term, and it would be nice to know of course what exactly has been going on, not just recently but over the last 9 years, the sheer number of rumours over the years, and particularly the disgraceful Strauss-text-gate ones of 2012 surely mean that if they need a clean break from anybody to flourish, it is Pietersen. As the article says, self preservation and self interest from these three pragmatic individuals would dictate that they would, from the evidence of the past, probably be better served by sticking with him. The fact that none of them did, despite the potential ramifications for each of them, speaks all the volumes we need.
